The Bravi Leonardo
The affected Leonardo machines were manufactured with Microel panels between July 1st 2007 and 31st December 2009 AND on which the Microel panel has been replaced with PG Trionic panel that dates from 2011 onwards.
This warning and recall only applies to machines that comply with BOTH of these conditions – as a result the number affected is considered to be very small. No other Bravi units are affected.
For those machines that were built during this two and half year window, with the Microel panel and which was then replaced by a more recent built PG Trionic board, the machines can be affected when the battery charge is low. A contactor in the controller may fuse, causing the platform to rise on its own accord to full height, disabling the emergency stop function.
If you have a Bravi Leonardo, you should check the serial number plate to see if it was built during the period concerned, and IF it was check if the controller is a PG Trionic and corresponds with the photographs shown below, in order to determine if your machine has indeed been retrofitted with the affected controller.
If it has then your machine is likely to be part of this recall and you should immediately take the machine out of service and call Bravi, the company will supply a replacement contactor and software update free of charge.
