Kiesabbau Wiedemann have taken four Liebherr duty cycle cranes
The HS 8070 HD has a maximum capacity of 70 tonnes and main boom of 56 metres however this is reduced to a maximum of 29 metres in dragline configuration. Power is supplied by a 320 kW stage IV /Tier 4f diesel engine fitted with ‘Eco Silent mode’ which lowers the engine speed and improves fuel consumption. Liebherr says that with a handling capacity of 300 tonnes per hour the crane uses up to 30 percent less diesel than comparable models.
