Jorma Nyyssölä’s last day at Rami

Today is the last day at Rami Rent for Jorma Nyyssölä. After threatening to retire a number of times, he is finally leaving Rami-Rent the Finnish based rental company. He has spent his last two days visiting Intermat in Paris this week.

After a period based in Russia, Nyyssölä became a director at A-Rakennusmies, as Rami was then known, and was instrumental in transforming the company into one of Europe’s top five top five access rental companies.

He was also part of the senior management team that expanded Rami’s market coverage into, Russia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Baltic states, Poland and Hungary. The company reported revenues for 2005 of €389 million, an increase of 23 percent

Nyyssölä is a keen golfer and but does not intend to convert entirely to a life of leisure, but is looking to work at a number of more physical job pursuits.

Jorma Nyyssölä is a big bear of a man, with a smile to light up the world. While a tough business man and a shrewd operator he has a tremendous reputation for fair dealing and has helped build up one of Europe’s great rental businesses.
