Manitou sales climb 10%
Manitou, the World’s leading producer of telescopic handlers has released its first half 2006 revenues. Total sales were €586 million, an increase of 10.3 percent.
The company said that the pace of sales growth picked up in the second quarter with total sales reaching €314 million.
Sales in France remained close to the levels achieved in the first half of 2005 at €230 million. While sales to the rest of the European Union rose by almost 16 percent to €270 million, with particularly strong growth in Germany, Italy, Spain and Benelux countries.
Sales outside of the EU climbed by 36 percent to €86 million. The company’s order book at the end of the period represented 2.5 months of production.
As a result Manitou is revising its full year estimate for sales growth upwards to 13 percent from its 10 percent target.
