Manitowoc drops Enodis bid

After having given Manitowoc access to confidential information for due diligence purposes, Enodis has announced that the two companies have now agreed that there are no grounds that would allow a mutually acceptable takeover deal to go ahead.

As a result both companies have confirmed that all discussions have now ceased and that Manitowoc will not now proceed with its bid.

Manitowoc has reserved the right to make or participate in a future offer, in the event that the situation changes and it gains the agreement of the Enodis board or a third party announces an offer for Enodis.
