Manitowoc opens new Singapore office
The Manitowoc Crane Group’s Asian-Pacific operation in Singapore has relocated to new premises. The office serves as a regional centre for the Manitowoc Crane Group in the Asia-Pacific region. It employs 44 people, of which 20 are dedicated to Manitowoc Crane Care services.
The new facility, which is located in Kwong Min Road, includes larger capacity parts and whole goods warehouses, improved workshop facilities, and a training department.
80 customers, dealers, and guests recently attended an opening ceremony which was also used to commemorate the handover of the first 220 tonne Grove GMK6220-L, sold to local customer, Hiap Tong Crane & Transport.

John Stewart, Manitowoc’s vice president of sales for Asia-Pacific, said: “The market has been very strong in the Asia-Pacific region, because demand has been so high, we have to keep growing and adding more staff, which is why we have moved to our new facilities. We look forward to the new challenges ahead, and we are certain that this move will prove a positive one.”
The opening ceremony included a traditional ‘lion dance’ performance, which took place just prior to the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon.
