How do you paint 90 metre masts?

The ship, the Suomen Joutsen was built as a freighter in France 1902. By the 1930's such ships had passed their sell by date so it was sold to the Finnish government for use as a training ship for the Navy and later for the Seaman’s school.

Since 1991 the City of Turku, where it is now berthed, has committed to maintain and repair the ship in such a way as to allow it to be used as a museum. As part of this programme regular repair and refurbishment work has been carried out over the past few years.

Last week a Bronto Skylift S 90 HLA owned by the contractor Jalo & Jalo was used to repaint the ships masts. The S 90 HLA , which was delivered earlier this year is the highest platform in Finland.
