New Deutz chief financial officer
German engine manufacturer Deutz has appointed Andreas Strecker as chief financial officer, effective 1st March. He succeeds Margarete Haase, who will leave the company at the end of April.
Strecker will assume responsibility for finance, purchasing, human resources and information services. He joins Deutz after eight years as a strategy consultant, which he did alongside his role as chief executive for Solaris Bus & Coach for just under two years. Before that he was chief financial officer at Novoferm Group for four years.
He began his career at Mercedes-Benz in 1991, working in various positions over two and a half years, before becoming director of strategy at EvoBus. In 1998 he took the same position at Daimler Buses, and four years later became chief executive of North American operations at the company.
