25 Liebherrs for 25 years

Dubai based Al Faris Equipment Rentals has ordered 25 Liebherr cranes to mark the company's 25th anniversary, including a dozen Rough Terrains.

The order comprises: five 70 tonne LTM 1070-4.2s, two 130 tonne LTM 1130-5.1s, and six 160 tonne LTM 1160-5.2 All Terrain cranes, plus 12 Rough Terrain cranes - of which four are 90 tonne LRT 1090-2.1s and eight 100 tonne LRT 1100-2.1. The order, worth around €18 million, will be delivered later this year.

Al Faris runs almost 400 Liebherr cranes

Founded in 1992, the Al Faris Group is one of the largest crane and transport rental companies in the Middle East, employing 3,200 at five sites in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The company has a fleet of All Terrain, Rough Terrain and crawler cranes ranging from 25 to 1,200 tonnes, as well as aerial lifts and forklifts.
