New director for Oshkosh
JLG parent company Oshkosh has appointed retired general Raymond Odierno to its board of directors.
Odierno, 63, has served at almost every level in the Army, in a career spanning 39 years. Having graduated from West Point his first tour of duty took him to Germany for two years with the. During the Iraq war of 2003 he commanded the 4th Infantry Division, the Army’s III Corps and the United States Forces – Iraq. He is one of only two American military officers to command at the division, corps and army level during the same conflict with distinction since the war in Vietnam. He has also served as the senior military advisor to the secretary of state. Prior to his retirement, Odierno served as the 38th chief of staff for the United States Army. He retired in August 2015.
