Teupen establishes China JV

Teupen Maschinenbau of Gronau, Germany has established a Joint Venture company with its distributor in China Wuhan Fachman. Fachman not only produces a few machines of its own for the local market, but also established a Joint Venture with Tanfield late last year, Aerial Fachman, Limited. See Aerial to build in China

The new Joint-Venture “Wuhan Teupen Manufacturing Ltd.” Will build Teupen’s smaller Spider lift models and truck mounted booms in China, initially for the local market.

A mid sized Teupen spider lift in China

The need for very high, narrow, light weight boom lifts is growing rapidly in China as an increasing number of big space public buildings are completed. Modern architecture is resulting in some vast, complex roof and ceiling areas that need such lifts.

Shuguang Xia, Fachman’s managing director, said, that it is the goal of the new company to complete its first units before the end of this year. In the long-term it hopes to build further models from the Teupen range.
