Singapore offshore order for Alimak

Heis-Tek, the Norwegian operation of Alimak, has received an order from Singapore based Sembcorp Marine to deliver three lifts for the Johan Castberg floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO), in a deal worth SEK17 million (€1.67 million).

Sembcorp Marine is building the hull and living quarters for the Johan Castberg FPSO where the three lifts will be installed. Engineering work on the traction lifts begins in the second quarter of 2018 and the equipment will be delivered next year.

Alimak chief executive Tormod Gunleiksrud said: “Over the last months we have seen an increased activity in the oil and gas segment and are pleased to deliver these three lifts to the Johan Castberg field, in addition to the order announced in January.”
