Universal administration plods on

KPMG, the administrators for Universal Aerial Platforms Ltd, has begun to scale back the business, returning an unspecified number of leased aerial lifts and laying off some employees.

KPMG did not say exactly how many machines or members of staff had gone, but we understand that eight employees have been made laid off in the past two weeks, with a number of others having departed already.

Discussions continue for the sale of the UK access business while it is understood that due diligence is proceeding on the offers for the Spanish business.
