New Palfinger service centre

Construction has started on a new Palfinger Platforms service centre next door to the company's main production facility in Löbau, to the south of Berlin near the Czech and Polish borders.

The new building is said to offer more workshop space and also more space for repairs on large equipment, whilst also being in close proximity to customers. Palfinger is also building an office building in the same location, with the service centre set to be opened at the end of the year.

Project manager and technical director Hans Volker Hummler laid the foundation stone. Prior to that he buried a time capsule, with material from the past and present highlights of the company in the foundations of the new workshop.
