Four Terex RT for Ecuador

Ecuadorian crane, heavy transport and rigging company Transportes Noroccidental has added four new 90 tonne Terex RT 100US Rough Terrain cranes to its fleet.

The company, which focuses largely on the petrochemical market, selected this particular model for its 47 metre, five section full power boom, and the strength of its load chart compared to other similar sized units. It also added the service it receives from the local distributor Trex Ecuador, was a major factor.

The four cranes are perfectly capable of assembling and disassembling drilling rigs in the Ecuadorian oil region. And ideal for the job because of their mobility on rough surfaces and their operating speeds.”

The four new Terex cranes arrive in Ecuador

The four new cranes join four others in the Transportes Noroccidental fleet, all of which are deployed in its oil field operations.

Established in 1961 to transport passengers and parcels, on the difficult roads in the Northwest (which explains the Noroccidental name) region of Pichincha province. When hydrocarbon activity in Ecuador began in 1970the company focused all of its efforts on servicing the fledging industry – and the rest as the say is history. Today the extensive crane fleet includes telescopics from 30 to 550 tonnes, including cranes from Link-Belt, Terex and Grove, and loader cranes to 40 tonnes along with 800 tonne gantries and a substantial heavy transport fleet.
