Liebherr LHM 280 for Joyce Krane
Australian rental company Joyce Krane has ordered a 64 tonne LHM 280 mobile harbour crane.
The LHM 280 will be used for handling offshore support equipment, but will also be equipped to handle containers with a RAM spreader. Joyce Krane opted for the new LiDAT smartApp installed on the new machine, which logs operational data and allows for remote monitoring. The crane was ordered with the smartApp maintenance package which shows detailed information about machine operation hours, filling levels and temperatures. The crane will arrive at the beginning of 2019.

Operations manager Sean Joyce said: “We are more than happy with our Liebherr mobiles and have been dealing with the Liebherr Ehingen factory for years. Dealing with Rostock wasn’t so different, just the equipment changed. We’re really looking forward to getting to use it.”
General manager James Joyce added: “I visited the Rostock factory mid of 2017. It’s a modern facility, and with its own quayside, it makes the dispatch of the cranes so much easier.”
Based in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, family run Joyce Krane was established in Karratha in 1974 by Mick Joyce and is now managed by his two sons James and Sean. The company’s fleet includes Liebherr All Terrain cranes, Kato and Tadano truck cranes, Rough Terrain cranes and Franna pick & carry cranes.
