The late Cob Stenham
Cob Stenham spent a good deal of his career at Unilever where he was Finance Director from 1970 to 1986 and also chairman of its North American operations in 1978 and 1979.
Prior to joining Ashtead he was non-executive director of Standard Chartered plc.
His unexpected passing comes at a time of major change for Ashtead with CEO George Burnett retiring at the end of the rear and having just completed the acquisition of RSC.
