CMC launches hybrid S32

Italian spider and truck mounted lift manufacturer CMC has launched a hybrid version of its 32 metre S32 spider lift, the S32 Green Power.

The CMC S32 Green Power has the same features as the standard S32, with 16 metres of outreach and 220kg platform capacity. The first unit has been delivered to a customer in China.

Export manager Giovanni Adami Carbonara said: “All CMC products can be supplied as a hybrid version, just like the Green Power with lithium-ion battery and electric motor. This will be a worthwhile detail for all those who need to work in hospitals, airports, military areas and other sensitive areas where the use of the engine is not only strongly discouraged, but prohibited. Thanks to the CMC technology, the duration of the charge allows the user to operate without having to stop to recharge.”
