Snorkel has launched two new telehandlers at the World of Concrete exhibition in Las Vegas, the 4,200kg/13.5 metre SR9244 offers a forward reach of 9.5 metres, whilst the 4,535kg/16.4 metre SR1054 provides a forward reach of 12.6 metres.
Both telehandlers have an overall width of 2.3 metres and a stowed height of 2.56 metres. Sharing many of the same features as the 2.6 tonne/5.8 metre SR5719, the new models also have standard foam filled tyres, power assisted steering and are powered by a Deutz TLD 3.6L 100hp Tier 4 Final diesel. The fully enclosed cab includes an adjustable suspension seat as standard, along with heat and air conditioning and fully proportional joystick controls. The units are built by Italian manufacturer Faresin, and are badged versions of the company’s 14.42 and 17.40 models.
Snorkel also is also using the event for the North American launch of its 22ft S2255RT and 27ft 2755RT scissor lifts, almost two years after they were launched in Europe. The S2255RT offers an 8.5 metre working height, platform capacity of 420kg and an overall weight of 2,360kg. The S2755RT offers 10.4 metres of working height, a 300kg platform capacity, and has an overall weight of 2,580kg. Both scissor lifts have an overall width of 1.45 metres and feature 1.2 metre roll out deck extensions.
