More Genie XC models

Genie is launching two new Extra Capacity telescopic boom lifts the 45ft S-45 XC wheeled boom lift, and the 65ft S-65 TraX crawler boom. They join the SX-135 XC, SX-125 XC, SX-105 XC, S-85 XC and S-65 XC models.

The new Genie S-45XC

The S-45 XC has a maximum outreach of 11 metres with an unrestricted platform capacity of 300kg and a 454kg maximum capacity, the same as all of the XC models. The S-65 TraX has a maximum outreach of 16.51 metres. The XC models can take three people and their tools and are intended to allow a wider range of heavier work to be carried out and to improve productivity.

The XC models incorporate upgraded boom structures to cope with the higher loads, and incorporate fully automatic working envelope control, which includes the ability for the machine to retract the boom automatically as it reaches the edge of its operating envelope for the weight in the platform. The load sense cell continuously checks the weight in the platform and limits the operating envelope to match the load chart, while offering the ability to calibrate the machine on site, without requiring a test load.

This new model will be available in the greater European region from April, while the S-65 TraX will be built in the Umbertide plant in Italy, and will be available in Europe later this quarter.
