Demag crawler for Kuwait

Kuwaiti rental company Jassim Transport & Stevedoring (JTC) has taken delivery of a 650 tonne Demag CC 3800-1 lattice boom crawler crane.

The CC 3800-1 can handle its maximum capacity at a 12 metre radius and take 110 tonnes to a height of 120 metres. Its first job involved lifting a heat exchanger as part of a large scale oil and gas project.

Chief executive Adel Kohari said: “The CC 3800-1 enhances JTC’s lifting capabilities over our Demag CC 2200, and this will put us in a position to meet the needs of our customers in the oil and gas industries even better in the future.”

Established in 1979, Jassim Transport & Stevedoring is based in Kuwait City, with an subsidiary companies in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Its fleet includes All Terrain cranes, Rough Terrain cranes, crawler cranes and boom trucks, ranging from 25 to 700 tonnes.
