Two weeks until Vertikal Days

Vertikal Days opens at Donington Park in two weeks’ time and looks set to be a record breaker in terms of the number of exhibitors, and new products on show. Plans are now nearing completion, although we have managed to squeeze in a couple of last minute bookings.

The largest new product at the show this year is almost certain to be the all new 650 tonne eight axle Liebherr LTM1650-8.1 All Terrain crane - one of the largest cranes ever exhibited at the event.

However there are likely to even more innovations on the many aerial lift and telehandler stands, with new all electric and hybrid Rough Terrain boom lifts hybrid vehicle mounted lifts, electric telehandlers, lithium ion battery powered spider lifts and even cranes.

This is also likely to be the last public event before the Demag/Tadano acquisition completes on July 1st. So a great deal of interest in what might be planned in terms of merging the two product lines, or distribution channels – or not. On the tower crane front there are several new exhibitors, all of them with a good deal to talk about.

In addition to the products themselves, almost everyone will be talking about new technology ranging from remote controls through to smartphones to the latest tracking/monitoring and telematics systems, to the software programmes that bring it all together to give rental companies a commercial edge, while providing contractors and other end users a wide range of tangible benefits and control.

It promises to be a great show, in spite of its proximity to Bauma, or possibly as a result of it being so close? Click here to see a few photos from last year’s event

Vertikal.net editors will of course be reporting from the event and hoping to hear your face to face feedback on our new web portal and database.

See you there.
