New senior exec at Tadano

Tadano has appointed Toshiaki Ujiie as a director and senior executive officer.

He joined the company in April, after more than 30 years with Marubeni, most recently as group chief executive of Marubeni’s Transportation Machinery Group, having been in the position since 2017, prior to that he had been the division’s senior operating officer since 2014. He has also held senior positions in the corporate strategy and planning group, and general manager of the company’s Construction Machinery division.

Toshiaki Ujiie

Tadano said: “Mr. Toshiaki Ujiie knows the business inside out and the markets like the back of his hand. He understands how best to serve the needs of customers and markets. He started his career climbing the management ladder at Marubeni Corporation, which is one of the biggest trading companies in the world and in 2014 became its Senior Operating Officer. At Tadano, he has the opportunity to grow his influence and experience on the global crane industry and help many more customers”.
