German crane rental company Wiesbauer has added a 300 tonne Demag AC 300-6 All Terrain crane to its fleet, and placed an order for a 130 tonne AC 130-5.
The six axle AC 300-6 has an 80 metre main boom and a 21 metre extension, with up to 40 degrees of offset, and a maximum tip height of 118 metres. The five axle AC 130-5 has a 60 metre main boom, while extensions take the maximum tip height to 86.5 metres, it will be delivered later this year. Wiesbauer will mostly use the new AC 300-6 to erect and dismantle tower cranes in the greater Stuttgart area.

Wiesbauer’s new AC 300-6
General manager Thomas Wiesbauer said: “The reason we decided on the new AC 300-6 is that we consider it to be number one in its class – basically put, it can do everything a bit better than its competitors.”
Based in Bietigheim-Bissingen, southern Germany, Wiesbauer was established in 1958 and now operates from locations in Neckarsulm, Stuttgart, Schwaikheim and Plankstadt. The company’s fleet is topped by a 750 tonne Liebherr LTM1750-9.1.
