Another Tadano for Schmidbauer

German rental company Schmidbauer has taken delivery of a 130 tonne Tadano ATF 130G-5 All Terrain crane.

The five axle crane features a 61 metre six section main boom and bi-fold swingaway extension, which with the addition of inserts takes the maximum tip height to 95 metres. The swingaway offsets by up to 40 degrees. It is the eighth Tadano crane in the company’s fleet, and will be used for assembling pre-cast concrete components, garages and steel structures.

Schmidbauer’s new Tadano crane

Markus Hain of Schmidbauer said: “Up until now, we had a 130 tonne model from Lauf an der Pegnitz in our Regensburg branch only, which was also sometimes used to help out at our site. So we already knew exactly what this Tadano could do. It’s just a great crane, not to mention agile, which is a real plus point on increasingly smaller building sites, and the two engine concept is fantastic. If, for example, the carrier engine needs to be bypassed due to extensive periods of downtime on the construction site, the superstructure engine takes over and vice versa. In short, you can be really flexible and self-sufficient with the ATF 130G-5. The ATF 130G-5 model is a new crane in the fleet that can consistently adapt to the different conditions on different building sites. Reliable cranes fit perfectly with my mindset, you really can’t go wrong.”
