BrandSafway adds to UK hoist business

US based group BrandSafway has acquired the hoist related assets of UK based Benchmark Scaffolding.

The assets will be incorporated into the group’s Taylor’s Hoists division based in Duxford, Cambridgeshire . It became part of BrandSafway as part of the Lyndon Scaffold acquisition last year, which has now been merged with SGB to create Lyndon SGB - see: SGB and Lyndon Scaffold to merge.

The Benchmark Hoist division was established in September 2009 and runs a substantial fleet of material hoists with capacities from 500 to 2,500kg, along with single and dual car personnel hoists with capacities from 1,200 to 3,200kg. As with Taylor’s its principal supplier is Alimak. It mainly serves customers in London and the South East with a number of blue chip clients.
