First CTE 32 JHV in UK

UK access rental company TAH Access Platforms has taken delivery of the first 31.6 metre CTE 32 JHV truck mounted platform in the UK, along with a new truck for delivering its CTE T230 spider lifts.

Mounted on an 18 tonne Mercedes chassis, the 32 JHV features a dual sigma type riser, topped by a three section telescopic boom and articulated jib, providing up to 19.8 metres of outreach and a maximum platform capacity of 280kg. Its H-type variable outrigger set up uses the company’s S3 Smart Stability System to automatically adapt the working envelope depending on the actual outrigger configuration.

TAH Access Platforms general manager, Derek Mark, said: “Our 7.5 tonne 26 metre has done us well over the last six years and it’s time to move to a bigger platform to meet our customer needs. We looked for a compact machine to cope with London that was neat and had an articulated boom, the CTE 32 JHV fitted this requirement. Other considerations were that the lorry had to meet the DVS 3 standard which other manufacturers could not achieve.”

CTE UK managing director, Craig Rooke, added: “TAH Access Platforms have been a very loyal CTE UK customer with a range of 3.5 tonne, 7.5 tonne truck mounts and spider lifts from our range, this unit tops the fleet off as their biggest platform. The Zed 32 JHV is perfect for city centre work and as TAH do so much in London the narrow set ups and great up and over make this machine ideal for their type of work.”

TAH Access Platforms has also taken delivery of a new 7.5 tonne Fuso Canter beavertail delivery truck fitted with a Shawtrack beavertail body with FORs complaint safety package, electric winch and guard rails. With a payload of just under 3.5 tonnes it will largely be used to transport the CTE T230 spider lift - which weighs just under three tonnes.
