Harsco Access up 37%

The Access services division of Harsco, the US based owner of SGB and Hünnebeck increased its revenues in 2006 by 37 percent to $1.081 billion.

Much of the increase came from acquisitions during the year including the July 2006 acquisition of Cleton Industrial Services in Holland and the November acquisition of MyATH in Chile

Operating income for the division increased by 60 percent to $120 million however, last year’s results included a $3.6 million pre-tax gain from the sale of the Company’s U.K.-based Youngman manufacturing business. Without which the increase would have been 67 percent.

Harsco says that the outlook for the Company’s end markets in the Access Services division remains positive for 2007 it states “Industry sources continue to predict further growth in non-residential construction and industrial maintenance in North America, Europe, and other key markets”.
