Crane fire in New Jersey

An All Terrain crane caught fire on Interstate 80 in Totowa, New Jersey - north west of Newark - yesterday causing long delays.

The five axle Grove GMK was reported to have suffered a fire in its engine compartment, which quickly spread along the hydraulic lines. A volume of hydraulic oil is said to have been spilled and the crane fire sparked of a fire in the trees and roadside bushes.

The local fire departments managed to extinguish the flames and began cleaning up the spill.
