17 Groves for MaxiKraft

German crane rental company MaxiKraft Kran und Schwerlastlogistik has ordered 17 new Grove All Terrain cranes.

The first batch included two 60 tonne, three axle GMK3060Ls with seven section 48 metre main booms, three four axle 90 tonne GMK4090s with 51 metre six section booms, and a five axle 150 tonne GMK5150L with a 60 metre main boom. All six were collected by their operators from the Grove plant in Wilhelmshaven. The remaining 11 cranes, which include further units of the same models plus a couple of 250 tonne five axle GMK5250L-1s, are due to be handed over by November.

MaxiKraft operates from 23 locations across seven German states or Lander from Braunschweig to Munich, with around 500 employees and a 200 unit fleet of wheeled mobiles and crawler cranes, with capacities from 25 to 1,000 tonnes, which include a good number of Groves. MaxiKraft now comprises five subsidiaries, MaxiKraft, Maximum, Kranlogistik Sachsen, Kranlogistik Lausitz and Treffler.
