Mick Ledden moves to A-Plant

UK rental industry veteran Mick Ledden has moved from Riwal UK to A-Plant as director of operational excellence.

He joins the company following a two and a half spell with Riwal UK where he was UK country manager. He started his working life in 1983 as a marine engineer with the Royal Navy, leaving for civilian life after seven years, joining Caterpillar as a test and inspection engineer. In 1994 he joined Aggreko as a service engineer, over the next 13 years he moved up through the ranks becoming a sales engineer, sales manager and finally general manager, leaving in 2007 to take up a position as UK operations director for Lavendon, becoming group operations director, executive director for business development and key accounts, leaving in 2013 for Pomarii Consulting. In 2016 he was appointed as interim managing director of Axis Fleet Management leaving after a year and a half for Riwal UK.

The move to A-Plant is likely to be related to the appointment earlier this month of Andy Wright as chief executive. The two have worked together in the past firstly at Aggreko and then they both moved to Lavendon in 2007.
