Iozzino’s new MDT 219 tower crane has gone straight out on a three year project

The crane went straight to work on a project to replace the 25,000 square metre roof of the La Doria tomato processing factory in Salerno. The crane is expected to remain on site for three years. It was erected by a 450 tonne Grove GMK7450 All Terrain crane rigged with MegaWingLift boom guying system.

The new crane was set up in the centre of the tomato factory’s roof area

Edilcom director Luigi Russo, said: “The customer required a reliable crane for this complex rebuild process because as the factory continues to operate it doesn’t allow for any stops or changes. The Potain MDT 219 was also the perfect crane in terms of dimensions and capacity.”
