More Citys for MaxiKraft

German crane rental group MaxiKraft has taken delivery of three 45 tonne Demag AC 45 City All Terrain cranes as part of a large fleet renewal investment – see: 17 Groves for MaxiKraft), More Tadanos for Treffler and €40m order for Liebherr.

The AC 45s have a 31.2 metre main boom, topped by a 7.1 to 13 metre offsettable extension which takes the maximum on board tip height to over 45 metres. The crane’s IC-1 Plus control system with Flex Base also monitors the variable outrigger and slew positions to calculate a specific load chart for the actual setup. Two of the cranes will be based at Munich based Treffler Autokrane, while the third will operate from Maximum in Erfurt.

Treffler branch manager, Matthias Bulisch, said: “The two new AC 45 City cranes replace two units of the previous model, the AC 40 City, in our fleet. We got consistently great results with the two AC 40 City units, so deciding on the AC 45 City upgrade was very easy – especially given the fact that these new cranes also feature some invaluable enhancements.”
