Saudi Arabian Fahad S Al Tamimi and Partners Co (Tamimi Rentals) has started taking delivery of 50 new Grove Rough Terrain cranes as part of a long term business plan to expand its construction, oil and gas divisions of the business.
Supplied by local distributor Kanoo, the order consists entirely of 100 tonne Grove GRT8100 Rough Terrain cranes which feature a five section 47 metre main boom and a 17 metre bi-fold swingaway extension which offers an under hook height of 64 metres. The new cranes will be dispatched to a number of different job sites.
Chief executive, Mohammed Fahad S Al-Tamimi, said: “We chose Grove GRT8100 Rough Terrain cranes because they have a very good load chart which is about 25 percent stronger than competitive machines. We also liked the precise and customisable movements that the Crane Control System (CCS) offers. In addition, we know that Grove cranes are reliable, having operated many all-terrain and rough-terrain cranes from the company down the years and we have a strong relationship with our local dealer, Kanoo Machinery.”
Kanoo chief executive, Manoj Tripathy, added: “Tamimi Rentals has been our customer for a long time and we appreciate their continued confidence in Kanoo and Manitowoc with this latest investment. We hope to strengthen our partnership and continue to provide exceptional service in the years to come.”
Established over 50 years ago, Tamimi Rentals operates a fleet of cranes with capacities ranging from 12 to 500 tonnes from four locations across Saudi Arabia.
