Bio-sourced fibre from Samson

US synthetic crane rope manufacturer Samson has introduced a more sustainable, bio-sourced fibre alternative for some of its products.

Using a ‘mass balance approach’, its new range of products have been made from climate-neutral feedstock through sustainable forestry. Available as an alternative for its AmSteel-Blue, AmSteel-X, Saturn-12, EverSteel-X, and Turbo-RC products, the company claims it will allow customers to reduce their carbon footprint while retaining the same characteristics, performance, and product certifications as the standard products.
