Q Cranes takes first Liebherrs

UK crane rental company Q Crane & Plant Hire has taken delivery of the first Liebherr cranes it has ever purchased, having ordered five LTR telescopic crawler cranes - three 60 tonne LTR 1060s and two 100 tonne LTR 1100s.

The LTR 1060 is equipped with a 40 metre main boom, a 2.5 metre assembly jib and a 9.5 to 16 metres bi-fold swingaway extension to provide a maximum tip height of almost 59 metres. The LTR 1100 has a 52 metre main boom, a 2.9 metre assembly jib and a 10.6 to 19 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. Two seven metre extensions can also be added to provide a maximum tip height of 88 metres.

Both cranes feature Stage V engines, extendable tracks and the ability to operate on side gradients of up to four degrees. The LTR 1060 can be transported fully equipped on a single low loader while the LTR 1100 requires two.

Based in Oldham, greater Manchester, the company runs a fleet of mini, telescopic and lattice cranes - predominately from Kobelco - with capacities ranging from five to 135 tonnes. It also offers a range of general construction equipment and attachments, as well as transport and haulage services.
