Boom lift over the side

A man was badly injured yesterday when the boom lift he was loading, or unloading, came off the side of the trailer in the Ermington suburb of Sydney, Australia.

He had driven the 86ft Manitou 280TJ telescopic, from the Coates Hire fleet, to the centre of the trailer when it went off the side. He had to be rescued from the basket by the emergency services.
