Kavanagh adds to fleet
Irish rental company Kavanagh Crane Hire has taken delivery of two Liebherr All Terrain cranes along with the first six axle zero-emission Spierings eLift self-erecting mobile tower crane to arrive in the country.
The six axle, 10 tonne SK1265-AT6 eLift can handle 1,700kg at a radius of 60 metres and at a maximum height of 66.2 metres. It is said to be the largest electric mobile crane that can work from a 16 amp socket.

The Liebherr order includes a 450 tonne LTM 1450-8.1 and the last 130 tonne LTM 1130-5.1 to arrive in Ireland following the introduction of its successor, the
150 tonne LTM 1150-5.1. The five axle LTM 1130-5.1 features a 60 metre main boom plus a 10.8 to 19 metre swingaway extension. Features include a Stage V engine along with Liebherr’s ECOmode, ECOdrive and VarioBase systems.
The eight axle LTM 1450-8.1 features an 85 metre main boom plus up to 84 metres of luffing jib. It also features the company’s ECOmode and VarioBase system, along with the addition of its VarioBallast system.

The LTM 1130-5.1 will be the last to arrive in Ireland following the introduction of the LTM 1150-5.1
Managing director Paul Kavanagh, said: “Our existing LTM 1130s have given years of excellent service, they have been such reliable and popular machines that we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to invest in one of the last ones off the production line.”

Kavanagh's new 450 tonne LTM 1450-8.1 on its first job
Established in 1973, Kavanagh Crane Hire is one of the largest crane rental companies in Ireland. It operates from Dublin, Wexford, Carlow and Waterford with a fleet of All Terrain cranes topped by a 500 tonne LTM 1500-8.1.
