Sennebogen has added a new model to its range of tree care handlers with the introduction of its seven tonne 728 E.
A cross between the company’s material handling cranes and excavators, the 728 E features a 9.2 metre fixed main boom plus a six metre telescopic ‘jib’ that can extend a further 2.5 metres to provide a maximum height of 21 metres. It can handle its maximum capacity at 4.5 metres and 1.7 tonnes at a radius of 18 metres. It also offers up to 7.5 metres below ground reach.
The specification includes four outriggers, pneumatic tyres, a 2.7 metre elevating cab with the option of 30 degrees tilt, and a wide range of attachments including a grapple saw, stump grinder and trimmer. It weighs 34.5 tonnes and offers a transport length of 13.1 metres, a height of 3.5 metres and a width of three metres. Power comes from a Stage V diesel which offers road speeds of up to 20km/h. The company claims it is ideal for use along roads and forest paths.
Matthias Übelacker, head of Sennebogen’s timber business unit, said: “Its impressive what a skilled driver can do with this machine. Thanks to the long range, powerful hydraulics for a wide range of attachments and the mobile undercarriage, the 728 is unbeatably fast in landscape maintenance or fuel timber harvesting."
