CEO for Stirnimann Denmark

Swiss crane and aerial lift sales and rental company Stirnimann has appointed John Cristian Asmussen as the chief executive of its new Danish operation, Stirnimann Denmark, the tower crane sales rental business that it announced in September. See: Stirnimann moves into Denmark. We also understand that it has now signed a contract for premises in Ølstykke north west of Copenhagen and hired Danish tower crane/Potain veteran Jørgen Saabye as a crane consultant.

John Cristian Asmussen


Asmussen joins the company from window manufacturer Velfac, where he has been project sales director for the past six and a half years.
He began his career as a development engineer with Rockwool in 1998, moving to Rock Delta as a business area manager after two years. In 2005 he moved to a similar role at fire and ventilation product supplier Concens. In 2007 he was appointed as sales manager at radiator manufacturer Ribe Jernindustri following its acquisition of Hudevad Radiatorfabrik, becoming sales and marketing manager two years later. In 2013 he joined Taasinge Elementer, the building façade and materials , division of the Palsgaard Group, moving to Velfac in 2015.
