Terex acquires Steelweld

Terex has acquired Northern Irish steel fabricator Steelweld.
The deal is intended to support growth within the Terex Materials Processing division, which includes Powerscreen and is based in Northern Ireland. Terex Cranes also reports into the Materials Processing division.

Terex chief executive John Garrison said: "We are excited to welcome Steelweld's talented employees to the Terex team. Over the past 40 years, the company has built a highly skilled work force and has a valued reputation for high levels of quality and service."

Kieran Hegarty, president of Terex Materials Processing added: "Steelweld's expertise in heavy fabrications will provide additional knowledge and talent to support the growth of Terex Materials Processing."
