Scissor lift fatality

A woman was killed on Tuesday in Centralia, Illinois - due east of St Louis, Missouri -when a wall she was building fell against the scissor lift she was working from, causing it to overturn.

The woman has been named as Trina Dennison, 44, she would have been 45 next Saturday. She was employed by Intermountain Electronics which is based at the facility where the incident occurred. The company builds large enclosures for heavy electrical equipment used in industrial applications.

The local emergency services said that she died instantly after hitting the floor. Work colleagues attempted to resuscitate her to no avail. An investigation is being conducted by the Marion County Coroner’s office and OSHA.

Dennison is survived by a son, a daughter, her Fiancé, her former husband and a host of close relatives.
