CTE establishes new French subsidiary

Italian truck mounted and spider lift manufacturer CTE is opening a new subsidiary in France - CTE France SAS.

The new operation will be based in Saint-Jean-d'Illac to the west of Bordeaux, the operation will focus on dealing directly with major accounts and large rental companies, holding sales inventory and parts, while also supporting local dealers and service partners throughout France.

CTE set up its first French company - Compagnie Transalpine Elevateurs - changed later to C.T.E. - in 1992 with local partners. The business was taken over in 2013 by France Elévateur.

The distribution relationship between CTE and France Elévateur is changing into an OEM type partnership, where the French manufacturer will market two CTE models under its own band in the French market, at the same time CTE will do the same offering a CTE version of a France Elévateur van mounted lift in Italy.

CTE sales & marketing director Marco Govoni has been appointed as president of the new company and said: "We hope that this new strategic setting will bring new life and stimulate growth by bringing the CTE brand back to where it deserves in a market - the French one - essential for the growth of our Group. The branch will be operationally managed by two managers who have all our trust, Jean-Noël Ayral as sales manager and Christophe Lalisse for customer care." Please register to see all images
