Liebherr duo for 3b

Scottish rental company 3b Crane Hire has taken delivery of two new Liebherr All Terrains, a 110 tonne LTM 1110-5.2 and a 60 tonne LTM 1060-3.1, marking 10 years in business.

The five axle LTM 1110-5.2 features a seven section, 60 metre main boom, topped by a 10.8 to 19 metre bifold swingaway extension that can be offset by up to 40 degrees. Two extra inserts can be added between boom nose and extension to provide a maximum tip height of 96 metres. It also includes Liebherr’s Liccon3 control system.

The three axle 1060-3.1 crane is equipped with a six section, 48 metre boom topped by a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension which takes the maximum tip height to more than 67 metres, while also offering up to 40 degrees of offset. The crane can carry all its 12.8 tonnes of counterweight within the UK’s STGO regulations, which allow axle loads of up to 16.5 tonnes.

Based south west of Edinburgh, 3b was established in 2014 and operates a fleet ranging between 40 and 230 tonnes and runs a transport service across Scotland and Northern England.
