Italian truck mounted lift manufacturer Isoli has appointed Luigi Moretto as general manager.
In this new role he will work closely with the recently appointed chief executive Paul Murphy and is expected to play an important role in guiding the company towards improvements in productivity and profitability.
Moretto, 56, joins the company from the Gonzato group - an Italian based international construction and metalwork group with 24 companies around the world - where he has managing director in Croatia for the past two and a half years.
He began his career in 1992 as a financial controller with the Interpump Group, leaving after two years for global clothing company Benetton where he became assistant group financial controller. In 1998 he moved to fashion and knitwear group Stefanel, as group reporting manager and then at the end of 2000 switched to the footwear industry, joining Geox as chief executive of its Eastern European operations.
Five years later he moved into the equipment market with agricultural machinery manufacturer Maschio Gaspardo as general manager and chief financial officer, departing in 2008 to take up consulting work, setting up his own agency. After nine years in the business he was recruited by paper manufacturer Cartotecnica Rossi as its commercial director, leaving for Gonzato five years later.
Paul Murphy said: “Since I took on the role of CEO of Isoli we have made great progress. The team is focused and passionate about the company and this makes me very proud. As I move between the UK and Italy, I wanted to ensure constant support for the Isoli team. This is why we have Luigi, and I am sure that his support will be fundamental. ”
Isoli was acquired by Klubb, the French vehicle mounted lift manufacturer in late 2022, and manufactures vehicle recovery equipment as well as vehicle mounted work platforms.
