10 years for former UK crane man

Oliver Arnold, the former owner and managing director of UK based rental company Quinto Cranes has skipped the country and received a 10 year prison sentence in his absence. He was found guilty of several sexually related offences, some of them with a minor.
Arnold, [21227](acquired the Norfolk based company) in 2017 from the Kiddle family, and after expanding the business ran into difficulties, leading to the collapse of the business in 2022 followed by liquidation, with the cranes sold at auction.

The failure of the business included around 50 job losses, and possibly unpaid creditors. Arnold, 49, loved to live the highlife and travel by private helicopter etc. He was not well liked by the employees who saw him as a bit of a 'flashy show off' who soon lost interest in the business.

He apparently fled to France well before the trial and is believed to have remained there. A warranty has been issued for his arrest and he will face further charges when he is returned.

Shortly after he acquired the company Cranes & Access magazine interviewed Arnold Click here to read that spread
