UK rental company Bray Cranes has taken delivery of a 40 tonne LTM 1040-2.1 All Terrain crane, with the company's second 70 tonne LTM 1070-4.2 due to arrive before the end of the year.
The two axle LTM 1040-2.1 has a four section, 35 metre full power main boom which can handle 7.4 tonnes at full extension or take 1.1 tonnes out to its maximum radius of 31 metres. A 9.5 metre swingaway extension takes the maximum tip height to almost 44 metres.
General manager Neil Stephenson said: “We are delighted to take delivery of the first of two new cranes, the new LTM 1040-2.1 will allow up to continue to offer a reliable lifting service to our customer base. We are also looking forward to receiving the LTM 1070-4.2 later in the year.”
Based in Birtley to the south of Gateshead and Newcastle, family run Bray Cranes was established in the early 1950s as Reeds Cranes. Today the rental fleet ranges from a four tonne Böcker aluminium truck crane, to small Kato City type cranes up to the 150 tonne Liebherr All Terrain crane. The company operates throughout the north east of England.
