Tadano America has appointed Jack Fendrick as chief operating officer, reporting to chief executive Dean Barley.
In his new role he will be responsible for promoting and managing and enacting the company’s business strategy, to maximise efficiency and growth. He will be based at Tadano America headquarters in Houston, Texas.
Fendrick joins the company from a similar role at Kobelco America - which is also located in the greater Houston area - where he has worked for the past 29 years. He began his career in 1994 as a salesman with Scott Construction Machinery in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, selling Tadano, Kobelco, Galion and P&H cranes. He made the move to Kobelco at the start of 1996, starting as district manager for the Southwest. Four years later he was promoted to general manager of its compact business, and became vice president of Kobelco Cranes in late 2002, followed by president in 2008. When the Kobelco Cranes business was merged with the Construction division at the end of 2018 he was made chief operating officer for the combined Construction Machinery business.
Dean Barley said: “Throughout Jack’s career, you see a long history of growth and success with the businesses in which he has been tasked to lead. His experience also includes sales and branch management at the dealer level, so he fully understands the needs of our customers and, most importantly, how to support the continued growth of Tadano in North America. He offers the right combination of leadership skills and experience to help the Tadano America business achieve plans for growth in the lifting industry. I have known Jack for a number of years, and I am confident that he brings the right personality and drive to continue to elevate our business.”
Fendrick added: “Tadano has earned incredible brand recognition and value for leadership in the lifting industry, and I’m excited to help guide the dedicated team of high-performing individuals at Tadano America.”
