Skeeter Collins to retire

Crane veteran Skeeter Collins currently major accounts manager with Link-Belt, is to retire at the end of February.

Collins began his career in 1977 as a salesman with the Link-Belt distributor for the Carolinas, Spartan Equipment, where he was promoted to sales manager before making the move to Link-Belt in 1989. His role with the manufacturer was district manager for South eastern USA. In 2011 he was promoted to North American sales manager, and took up his current position with responsibility for major accounts in 2017. In total he has worked with the company for almost 36 years, but has sold Link-Belt cranes for more than 47 years.

Senior vice president-sales & marketing Bill Stramer said: “Over the years Skeeter has earned a reputation as the hardest working man in the crane business. His dedication to customer satisfaction led to his success and advancement, he made a significant contribution to the Link-Belt brand and opened numerous doors for the company. We have been fortunate to call Skeeter Collins a colleague and a friend. We wish him and Linda the very best in his retirement.”
