New crane blessed

When Matson Navigation took delivery of its brand new $5 million Liebherr LHM 400 Harbour mobile crane, at Kahu Les Kuloloi’o Kahului Harbor, the first job was to have it blessed.

Installed at the end of Kahului’s Pier 1, the 50 metre high crane has a maximum lift capacity of 104 tonnes AT 48 metres radius and its mobility will allow Matson to service the increased inter island container traffic calling at Pier 1.

The blessing on Thursday last week was led by Kahu Les Kuloloi’o, with representatives from Liebherr and senior managers of Matson.
